Volunteer Opportunities

The Frank ArtFest

In preparation for the City of Pembroke Pines’ Annual Art Fest, the Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery will be holding a multi-week volunteering program to train our volunteers for the event, held on March 9th  and 10th from 10 am to 5:00PM.

The Frank wants to prepare outgoing, friendly volunteers for this annual festival through a multi-week training period where volunteers can experience our Art Workshops, Kids’ Corner Storytime Hour, and Lectures.  Volunteers can attend as many events as they like, but to ensure all volunteers are adequately prepared, attendance is required  for at least one of the highlighted workshops and at our February 28th Frank Contemporaries.

All volunteers who attend any 3 events during the training period will have their hours doubled during Art Fest weekend, in addition to the hours accumulated through the training program.

Volunteer ushers commit to specific performance shifts and usher for that performance on that day/evening. We rely on each volunteer to keep that commitment in order tor un the theater efficiently and create a high quality theater experience for each patron. If you cannot make this type of commitment, please do not request to be an usher. A monthly Calendar of Events will be distributed electronically prior to the beginning of each new month. You may volunteer for more than one performance/event that month. Ushering is a job working in the Front of House Department with staff. Our ushers are considered to be staff, not patrons. The Miramar Cultural Center|ArtsPark is located at 2400 Civic Center Place in Miramar.
