Academic Village Middle School is populated with 300 learners from grades 6-8.
The middle school is located in the first floor of the high school's U building. Students in the middle school are in a controlled environment and share the state-of-the-art facilities on the Academic Village Campus, including the SW Regional Library, the Academic Village Municipal Stadium, and the campus cafeteria.
Main entrance of the middle school is located in the U building on 172 Avenue.
The middle school curriculum is infused with the latest technology, which include computer labs and case-study classrooms.
In addition to a variety of core and elective choices, the Cambridge Advanced Curriculum is offered.
The Cambridge Curriculum, modeled after Cambridge's Secondary I, is a progressive curriculum to prepare students to enter the upper-level Cambridge courses, including the high school distinction of the AICE Diploma. The AICE Diploma will give students a competitive edge into their university of choice. Students who attend the Academic Village Campus are automatically enrolled in the upper-level Cambridge courses in high school.
Students at the AVM will have the opportunity to register for a multitude of high school courses, including Algebra I and II Honors, Advanced Drama, Debate I Honors, Geometry Honors, and Spanish I, II, and III.
