On Thursday, April 11, 2019, the Florida Department of Health – Broward (FDOH) confirmed Broward County has been identified as one of several areas experiencing a Hepatitis A outbreak. The threshold for considering an area as having an outbreak is five cases. As of Thursday, April 12, 2019, FDOH confirmed seven (7) cases of adults with hepatitis A since the first of the year.
