Today's Announcements

· The Pines Charter Track Team Competed last Saturday and came home with many Awards. Ahmari Avin won the shot put and placed 2nd in the discus. Amanda Kinloch placed 2nd in the hurdles. The girls relay team placed 2nd - the team consisted of Amani Turner, Christina Smith, K'Nyah Isaac & Jada Bell. Athletes also placing top 8 in their event: Diego McClaskey, Matthew Cabrera, Jada Bell, Ralph Stewart, Kyvon Tatham, & Janae McDonnough.

· Hey Jags! March Madness will be today Wednesday, March 6 at 2:30pm in the gym. It is a 3 v. 3 basketball tournament limited to 2 varsity/JV players. The entrance fee is $3. Come out and cheer for your friends!

· Dance Benefit auditions will be held in the River of Grass auditorium on Tuesday, March 12th starting promptly at 2p. It is on a first come first serve basis for the audition line up. Please have music cut and ready as well as costume. Please email dnorton@pinescharter.net for any questions or concerns.

· Hello Students and Faculty, the Pines Elite Car Club will be hosting its first annual car wash in the bus loop in the teacher parking lot after school on Thursday March 7th. Proceeds will be donated to Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Come out, get your car washed for $5 and support a great cause.

· CHEER Week is here! On the week of March 11-15, Best Buddies encourages for you to adopt a disability for a day so that you can see what individuals with disabilities experience. Come to room S204 before school!

· Attention Jags! There will be a bake sale held on Thursday, March 7 at 10:30am at the fountain. Come support the class of 2022.

· Hi everyone! Class of 2021' is holding a St. Patrick's day fundraiser. They are sold for 2$ during A & B lunch. They are going to be delivered March 16th during 6th period. Make sure to wish your friends some luck for finals!

· Hey jags! Are you ready to score the goooooooooal of the year? Then join SHS’s annual soccer tournament Jag Cup March 15th. Sign up during A&B lunch and during HR in c201. You will compete in teams of 5 and it is $3 per player! Remember, there are no more than 2 varsity players per team allowed.

· Who will be the next Mr. Jag? The annual Mr. Jag is back! Come watch 17 of the best senior boys compete for the crown. Tickets are already on sale in A/B lunch every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for $5. Come find out who will be the 2019 Mr. Jag!

· Jaguars! Spanish National Honor Society needs your help with the Comparte Por Una Vida drive! This February and March, we are collecting baby food/pediasure. Nestum baby food is recommended. All proceeds go to those in dire need in Venezuela! Please donate to the box placed in your homeroom class. Let’s do our part and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most! The drive will start 2/1 and finish 3/31! Donate, donate, donate!

· The Health and Fitness club is selling 6 time use/buy one get one free cards on smoothies from Jamba Juice for $10. Purchase your card from room C210.

· Students, having trouble in your math class and need some extra help? Then don't forget that Mu Alpha Theta holds tutoring sessions after school in room U205 every Wednesday for all math subjects! We hope to see you there!
