Today's Announcements
· The Jaguar’s boys basketball team defeated West Broward in the opening round of the district playoffs. The jags will play for the district championship tonight at Everglades high school at 6 PM versus Miramar. The team appreciates the great support at the West Broward victory and hopes to see a big Jaguar turnout at 6 PM tonight at Everglades.
· After school activities and sporting events have been cancelled for 2/14 and 2/15.
· Girls Flag Football tryouts will be held Tuesday February 19 on our athletic field promptly from 2:15-3:30pm. Please wear athletic attire (t-shirt and gym shorts), cleats, no jewelry and a positive attitude. District Championship on our minds.
Mystery Dinner Friday, February 22nd! Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society will be hosting their second annual Mystery Dinner @ 2:30 in the cafeteria. This "Zodiac Villain"-themed event is like a giant game of Clue for you and your friends to solve, all while enjoying Italian food from John the Baker, pastries from Vicky's Bakery, and much more! Tickets will be $5 until February 15th, and $6 on Feb 19-20. See you there!
· Science National Honor Society is hosting its annual Child Net drive. We are collecting school supplies for foster children. Please donate new or gently used back packs, and school supplies. The drive ends Feb 15th. Winning HR gets a breakfast party. Turn in supplies to the box located in your HR.
· The results from the Matchomatics surveys are here! We will be selling your long lists of results for $2 during lunch (2/11-2/15). Find a new friend!
· Students- show your appreciation for friends, teachers, or a special someone by purchasing a rose for Valentine's Day! The Class of 2020 will be selling the roses for $2 each during A and B lunch.
· Jaguars! Spanish National Honor Society needs your help with the Comparte Por Una Vida drive! This February and March, we are collecting baby food/pediasure. Nestum baby food is recommended. All proceeds go to those in dire need in Venezuela! Please donate to the box placed in your homeroom class. Let’s do our part and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most! The drive will start 2/1 and finish 3/31! Donate, donate, donate!
· The Health and Fitness club is selling 6 time use/buy one get one free cards on smoothies from Jamba Juice for $10. Purchase your card from room C210.
· Students, having trouble in your math class and need some extra help? Then don't forget that Mu Alpha Theta holds tutoring sessions after school in room U205 every Wednesday for all math subjects! We hope to see you there!
· STUDENTS! Don’t forget that NHS sponsors after school tutoring every Monday in room D214 at 2:05 PM. See you there!
