· Congratulations - Our Lady Jags Basketball Team beat Cooper City 48-32 on Wednesday and they beat Pompano beach 57-25 last night!
· Hey Jags! Want to compete with your friends in a friendly dodgeball tournament? Come out to the Snowbowl Dodgeball Tournament taking place in the gym on December 11th, at 2:30 pm! Signups are taking place in A/B lunches for $3, and there are 5 people to a team! Audience members can pay at the door for $3! Make sure to bring your friends to play and watch, see you there!
· “Hey Jags, SGA and KG4 Club are having our 10th annual toy drive to collect new unwrapped toys for ages 0-17. Donate all toys to your homeroom teacher and the class with the most items will win a holiday-themed party! All toys are being donated to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and the Covenant House Florida.”
· The class of 2022 and the Rhythms Club are selling holiday candy grams during both A and B lunches until 12/13. Candy grams will be $1 plus an additional $1 if you want to upgrade to a candy carol. Come support the freshman class and Rhythms Club and share holiday spirit with your friends!
· On MUNday, December 10th, we will ALL wear the Human Rights t-shirts.
· Hey Jags! Make sure to come over to the First Priority Club this upcoming Monday 12/10 in room D210. We will have pizza and drinks for everyone and we have a great guest speaker coming, so please come out and support the club! See you soon!
· "Want unlimited pancakes? Opportunities to pie teachers? To support a good cause? Come out to Key Club's Annual Pancake Breakfast tomorrow December 8th from 11am-3pm admission is $5."
· Promote equality and support PPCHS’ Girl Power club by purchasing a shirt and/or a water bottle during lunch! Shirts are $15 and water bottles are $6.
· Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society will be selling Midterm Care Bags until December 10th for at A & B lunches. You may purchase either a "De-Stress" or "Study" bag for $3, and they will be distributed on Friday, December 14th. Treat yourself or a friend for the holiday season!
· Jaguars! Spanish National Honor Society needs your help in its Comparte Por Una Vida drive! This December, we are collecting pasta. All proceeds go to those in dire need in Venezuela! Please donate to the box placed in your homeroom class. Let’s do our part and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most!
· The Southwest Regional Library is hosting a workshop on Essay Writing, Resume Writing, and Letters of Recommendation this Saturday, December 8th at 3 PM. You will learn how to effectively write an essay for college admissions, scholarships, internship or volunteer opportunities. Sign up online on the Broward County Library website.
· The jaguar boys basketball team split into two teams last night. Team A, led by D’Andre Daniel with 17 points, defeated Everglades high school by a score of 65 to 57. Varsity team B was soundly defeated by Miami Columbus high school in the opening-round of the AROD classic.
The boys junior varsity team defeated Everglades 50–46.
The varsity will reunite as one team today at 5pm to face Pitbul’s SLAM Academy in the second round of the AROD classic in Miami.
